Prayer for Protection

“Jesus, be a fence all around me everyday. Jesus I want you to protect me as I travel along the way.”

Lord, your word says that “the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3) God, it also says that you are not a man that you should lie. (Numbers 23:19) Thank you for always being a promise keeper and keeping true to your words. God, we know that the entire universe was pieced together by your words (Genesis 1) and so we know how important they are.

Thank you for protection from evil and protection from people and things that attempt to steal my joy. Thank you for overcoming those things (John 16:33) and giving me power and authority to do the same thing (Luke 10:19). I love you and I praise you for what you have already done in me today. Thank you for being with me always and never leaving me (Matthew 28:20).

In Jesus name I pray, amen.

God’s Word is EVERYTHING!

“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” ~ Hebrews 11:3

Some people think that the Bible is just a book. Just a collection of stories that we read and model our lives after. What those people fail to realize is that God created the universe with his WORDS. He spoke, and things were created. That’s how powerful God’s words are.

I thank God for his word and for accessibility to it. We are so fortunate to live in a day and time where we can easily access God’s word. We are educated to read it, and it is printed in every language. Glory be to God for sharing His very self through His words.

Even approaching the topic of God’s word leaves me in awe. Every time I think of how open God has been towards us and how much He loves us to share himself with us – it blows my mind. I don’t even have the capacity to think about it. I just raise my hands and thank God that the same words used to create the universe are here for me. That same power is in those words.
